Sharon I. Dixson is the President of the Louisiana Housing Council (LHC) which is the Louisiana Chapter of The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). She also serves as Vice-President of the Southwest NAHRO Member Services and is a member of the Southwest NAHRO Executive, Steering, Budget and Finance, and Community Redevelopment and Revitalization Committees. In addition, she serves nationally on the NAHRO Member Services Committee.

Dixson has more than 18 years of experience in the housing industry and is the current Executive Director of the Grambling Housing Authority (GHA).

Before joining GHA, she was the Director of the Union Parish Section 8 Housing Agency for 16.5 years. In one year, she helped the Agency move from "troubled" status to a "standard performer".

Dixson certifications include Certified Public Housing Manager, Certified Maintenance Manager from NAHRO and numerous certifications from Nan McKay.

She is married with two children, with one granddaughter and three grandsons.
